What You'll Do- In partnership with school leadership teams, facilitate school walkthroughs for secondary mathematics to support schools in meeting measurable student outcomes tied to district priorities, such as rigorous standards‑based instruction, culturally responsive teaching, instructional systems and data‑driven instruction.
- Facilitate support cycles across schools, including collaboratively setting learning goals, engaging in observations, and coaching school and teacher leaders.
- Model exemplar culturally sustaining and problem‑based instructional practices in secondary mathematics for teacher leaders, such as curriculum internalization at the unit and lesson level, demo lessons, and professional learning sessions.
- Analyze district local assessment and classroom observation data to inform school support.
- Work collaboratively to achieve actionable and observable results at the teacher and student level.
- Support district curriculum adoption and implementation.
- In collaboration with Principal Supervisors, develop and facilitate responsive professional learning sessions for school and teacher leaders.
- In collaboration with the multilingual education team, develop professional learning and coaching opportunities for teachers and leaders on best practices for supporting the achievement of multilingual learners in secondary mathematics.
- Contribute to a strong team culture grounded in district values and a commitment to excellence and service to schools.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Four (4) or more years teaching experience in secondary mathematics
- At least two (2) years of experience as an instructional coach of other teachers
- Three (3) or more years of previous experience working in an urban district with Multilingual Learners
- Experience designing and facilitating professional learning experiences
- Knowledge with Google Suite
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Effectively handles multiple demands and competing deadlines
- The ability to take responsibility for one’s own performance
- Works collaboratively with others on a team
- Aptitude for variety and changing expectations and a fast‑paced environment
- Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education
- Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us
