Lecturer - CPE, Continuing and Professional Education (Pool Posting)

The School of Education & Human Development at the University of Colorado Denver is a statewide and national leader for educational quality, access and equity across the education lifespan, from birth through higher education. Members of the school community have been informing policy and practice while addressing the most important challenges faced by individuals, schools, and communities for more than 50 years.

We prepare inclusive educational, community, family, and mental health practitioners, scholars, and leaders dedicated to championing change that leads to well-being, opportunity, and life-long learning in the diverse urban, rural, and global communities that we serve.

Our Office of Continuing and Professional Education (CPE) provides a wide array of courses, an alternative teacher licensure program, certificates, endorsements, workshops and leadership training tailored to meet your professional development needs. The purpose of this posting is to expand our pool of Lecturers available to teach courses for CPE. Lecturers selected from this pool will become vital members of the School's innovative education programs.

Lecturers are generally limited to two courses per term. This will be a semester-by-semester appointment, with the possibility of renewal. Teaching assignments may fluctuate and are contingent upon the schedule of courses offered each term, the required number of student enrollments in your tentatively scheduled course(s), and budget availability. Thus, we cannot guarantee that you will teach particular courses or that you will actually teach in a given term.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Significant successful teaching or work experience in education, community, or business contexts, especially in urban and diverse settings.

At a minimum, an earned master's degree in relevant content area (some courses may require a minimum of an earned doctoral degree).

The University of Colorado Denver provides generous leave, health plans and retirement contributions that add to your bottom line. Benefits statement to include in all benefits-eligible positions. See Eligibility Matrix. Benefits: https://(Use the "Apply for this Job" box below)./benefits
