Education Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:
- Strong organizational skills and ability to be flexible in managing events
- Managing all related medical student education program files, student grading, and reporting requirements to assure compliance with University policies for 3rd and 4th year medical students
- Manage all medical student shadowing and department observership program.
- Managing the 7 Fellowship programs within the Department including correspondence with fellows and fellowship candidates, maintaining the candidate and fellow database, arranging for interviews, etc.
- Oversight of finance and budget related to the Fellowship Programs
- Assist Education Manager with Residency Program oversight
- Quarterly Evaluation Completion
- Completing verifications
- Maintain upkeep of licensing, memberships, and credentialing for fellows, and physicians within the department
- Overseeing all aspects of the Department's master annual education and research schedule and outside special education offerings run by faculty of the Department
- Coordinate Department Grand Rounds, monthly Department Research meeting, and weekly educational conferences
- CME Coordinator for Brain Tumor Conference and Grand Rounds
- Manage guest speaker invitations for Grand rounds, scheduling of lectures, and all aspects of travel for visiting professors both clinical and research.
- Develop and disseminate event communication (email announcements and flyers)
- Maintain Department calendar
- Coordinate international observers, Tanzania and others as requested
- Shadowing clinical faculty-over 18 is required-12 hours/year/person-coordinate and track these volunteers
- Purchasing for department events following fiscal policies
- Ensure Call schedules are entered into excel and Amion in a timely manner and updated as needed
- Support Endovascular Program and its faculty and staff in administrative tasks
- Cross coverage for other administrative staff as requested
- Other duties as assigned
Work Location:
Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.
