Job Purpose SummaryThe Manager of Professional Learning and Educator Development provides district wide leadership for the planning, implementation, coordination, and continuous improvement of Adams County School District 14's professional learning systems. This position collaborates with Academic Services, Human Resources, Finance, and school leaders to design and sustain professional learning opportunities that strengthen educator effectiveness, leadership capacity, instructional excellence, and employee development.
The Manager oversees district systems supporting employees throughout their professional growth continuum, including onboarding, induction, mentoring, educator credentialing support, leadership development, compliance training, and continuous professional learning. The position ensures professional learning initiatives are strategically aligned, data‑informed, fiscally responsible, and focused on improving employee performance and student outcomes.
Requirements- Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Adult Learning, or a related field required.
- Colorado Teacher License or other related educational credential required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of successful experience in education, professional learning, leadership development, human resources, school leadership, or a related field.
- Experience designing, implementing, and evaluating professional learning programs.
- Experience leading projects, initiatives, or teams.
- Knowledge of adult learning theory and effective professional learning practices.
- Knowledge of educator effectiveness, leadership development, and continuous improvement systems.
- Strong organizational, project management, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to analyze data and use findings to improve programs and systems.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of educator licensure and credentialing requirements preferred.
Performance will be evaluated annually in accordance with the provisions of Adams County School District 14 Board Policy and administrative evaluation procedures.
Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities Program Leadership and Support- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the District Professional Learning Framework.
- Develop, implement, and annually update the District Professional Learning Plan aligned with the Strategic Plan and district priorities.
- Coordinate district wide professional learning opportunities for licensed, classified, and leadership employees.
- Develop and maintain the annual District Professional Learning Calendar.
- Coordinate district institutes, conferences, workshops, leadership academies, onboarding programs, and required training events.
- Establish standards and expectations for the design, delivery, and evaluation of professional learning.
- Collaborate with district departments and school leaders to identify professional learning priorities.
- Ensure district-sponsored professional learning aligns with organizational goals and improvement initiatives.
- Supervise assigned personnel, consultants, facilitators, contractors, and program staff as assigned.
- Develop recommendations regarding professional learning budgets, expenditures, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate district onboarding and orientation programs for newly hired employees.
- Lead the implementation of New Teacher Academy, induction, and mentoring programs.
- Support educator career pathways, leadership development opportunities, and succession planning initiatives.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to support educator licensure, endorsements, certifications, and renewal requirements.
- Maintain systems supporting educator credential tracking and compliance.
- Coordinate district-required compliance training programs.
- Develop systems recognizing employee accomplishments, certifications, and professional growth.
- Support district recruitment and retention initiatives through meaningful professional learning opportunities.
- Promote leadership development opportunities aligned with district needs.
- Establish quality standards for district-sponsored professional learning.
- Review and evaluate instructional services, consultants, vendors, and professional learning partnerships.
- Monitor implementation fidelity of district professional learning initiatives.
- Ensure professional learning experiences reflect adult learning theory, research-based practices, and district priorities.
