JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of a licensed staff member, assist students by helping individuals or small groups of students with basic curriculum work, implementing programming, reinforcing learning skills and reinforcing discipline procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The subsequent duties outline the fundamental operations of the position and exemplify the nature of the tasks carried out. - Assist classroom teachers in prepping materials, administering tests, grading, attendance, etc. Assist with paperwork and documentation as needed
- Daily - 15% - Assist students with classroom activities. Assist with curriculum delivery to individuals, as well as small and large groups to ensure mastering of subjects
- Daily - 40% - Monitor students and reinforce appropriate behavior during various activities such as play, lunch, recess, and detention
- Daily - 20% - Assist with other classroom events, such as field trips or fire drills, as necessary.
- Monthly - 5% - Attend grade-level and school meetings to assess data and plan lessons accordingly.
- Daily - 15% - Perform other duties as assigned or requested
- Daily - 5%
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
The minimum prerequisites of formal education, professional work experience, certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, trainings, and other criteria that a candidate must fulfill to be considered for a position. It is essential that certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, and trainings are fulfilled, valid, and not expired.
- Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
- Ability to work with adults in a team setting
- Current Cherry Creek School District student
- Basic clerical skills
- Basic organizational Skills
- Ability to work one-on-one or in small or large groups of students or teachers
- Basic communication skills
