Responsibilities
  • Editing, translating, and organizing educational content for teachers, parents, and young children.
  • Translating educational materials, captions, subtitles, and website content between English and Spanish with attention to clarity and inclusivity.
  • Editing, transcribing, captioning, and proofreading video and audio content.
  • Using creativity and technical skills to edit and produce engaging video content that aligns with project goals and organizational standards.
  • Managing digital content and files across platforms such as Kaltura, SharePoint, Canva, and website content management systems.
  • Capturing and organizing photographs and videos to support educational resources and outreach efforts.
  • Assisting with website maintenance and content updates.
  • Creating professional development materials for teachers, including printing, photocopying, laminating, organizing documents, and preparing educational manipulatives.
  • Assisting with the setup and management of cameras, tablets, computers, and other technology used in research and professional development projects.
  • Organizing, cleaning, and maintaining inventories of educational materials and math manipulatives.
  • Packing and shipping educational materials, technology, and project resources. Occasional lifting of items up to 40 pounds may be required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Intermediate experience with video editing and a willingness to continue developing these skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Professional work habits, including punctuality, reliability, and effective communication.
  • Openness to learning new technologies, content management systems, and educational frameworks such as learning trajectories.
  • Basic experience with editing, proofreading, or content review.
Required Qualifications
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking both Spanish and English.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience with proofreading, editing, translation, or content development.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and workflows.
  • Experience working with websites, educational content, or media production.
Physical Activities

The position involves light physical activity, including operating a computer, handling educational materials, organizing supplies, and occasionally lifting items weighing up to 40 pounds.

Compensation is based on the DU Student Employee Pay Rate Scale, ranging from $20.00-$25.00/hr. with the opportunity for yearly increases, dependent on performance.

In compliance with Colorado’s Healthy Families and Workplaces Act (HFWA), non-benefited employees will accrue one hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, capped at 48 hours per year.
