Position Overview

Graland Country Day School is seeking a flex teacher to work closely with students in grades Toddler - Grade 4. The ideal candidate should have experience working with children in a classroom setting and be someone who understands school environments and the unique needs of Lower School. The ideal candidate thrives on being flexible and filling in wherever help is needed.

Flex teachers are the ultimate team players who work collaboratively with both students and faculty and will work on campus Monday-Friday. Candidates should be prepared to teach as a lead, support, or specialist teacher. This also includes supervising educator children on Professional Development days, ECLC (Early Childhood Learning Center) after care, and early release days.

Reports to: Associate Head of Lower School
Status: Full-time, school year; salaried with benefits
Time: 8:30 a.m.

Qualifications and Responsibilities
  • Experience working with students.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Monitors and maintains annual fifteen (15) hour professional development credentials as required for the position.
  • Willing to meet appropriate Toddler, Preschool/PreK, and school‑age Teacher requirements/qualifications and provide all documentation as required by the State of Colorado Department of Human Services upon hire.
  • Knowledge of Developmentally Appropriate Practices.
  • Possess a current certification in CPR and First Aid, or willing to obtain one once hired.
  • Submit and pass a criminal background check, including Colorado Bureau of Investigations and TRAILS/Central Registry criminal record review as required by the Colorado Department of Social Services within five (5) working days of employment.
  • Provide all documentation as required by the State of Colorado Child Care Licensing Division upon hire.
  • Must be able to fulfill the role as a mandated reporter.
  • This position requires a current signed Child Care Provider Health Form.
