Affiliate Faculty, Chemistry

Job Summary

The Department of Chemistry seeks affiliates who can teach in person and online lectures and laboratory classes in a variety of chemistry areas, which include the following:

Please note Affiliate Faculty are hired to teach on a per credit hour basis for specific classes, as needed, on a semester-by- semester basis.

• Provide instruction in assigned classes consistent with the content and learning objectives of the regular course syllabus and, if appropriate, with Department course coordination policies.
• Keep complete and accurate grade records.
• Evaluate student performance.
• Maintain regular office hours to provide students with academic support appropriate for the teaching assignment.

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Chemistry or a related field

• Doctorate in Chemistry or a related field
• Relevant teaching experience

Will be dependent on the course schedule and availability of selected candidates.

This position is benefits‑eligible for workers’ compensation and will receive 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.

$3,225 per 3-credit course, $2,150 per 2-credit course, $1,075 per 1-credit course
