Under the supervision and direction of the school administration, this role teaches a solid foundation for a specified industry.

  • 0.3 FTE Technician, Shop Laboratory (80911)
  • 0.2 FTE Hourly Instructor, Substitute (80906)

What You'll Do
  • Teach assigned courses to adults and postsecondary education option students (PSEO) ages 17 and older aligned with standards and requirements outlined in the individual course syllabi and program approval.
  • Write unit lesson plans, daily lesson plans, and various written and performance assessments, as directed.
  • Maintain program compliance with program approval.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory for all program equipment materials and supplies.
  • Maintain and accurately report all student grades using appropriate software systems; maintain all student records, take daily attendance, and perform other related administrative tasks.
  • Attend and participate in faculty, departmental, advisory committee, and other professional meetings; participate in professional development activities.
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience minimum required.
  • Master's degree in a related industry or field required.
  • Five (5) years of experience in a related occupation within the preceding 10 years.
  • Broad knowledge of techniques and practices used in the related industry or subject area.
  • Must meet the CTE credentialing requirements of the Colorado Community College System Office, including documented paid hours and appropriate licensure, certificates, or technical training.
  • Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, and support all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high-quality education.
  • Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado.
  • Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position.
