University of Denver - DU - Sturm College of Law
- Assist law students, staff, and faculty with locating library resources
- Check library materials in and out of the library
- Assist with printers and troubleshoot printing system when needed
- Shelve library resources according to the Library of Congress classification system
- Provide directional assistance and answer questions about library policies and procedures
- Special projects, as assigned (e.g. inventory, shelf-reading, book and stacks maintenance)
- Experience with customer service and interpersonal skills with diverse populations
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to use tact, diplomacy, and conscientiousness when working with patrons
- Reliability, flexibility, and adaptability
- Ability to work at least 6 hours per week throughout the entire law school semester
- Ability to attend two 2-hour paid training sessions upon hire
- Knowledge of or ability to learn Excel, Word, and specialized library software, as needed
- Current DU undergraduate student, graduate student, or law student enrolled for the 2026-27 academic year
- Previous library experience
- In-person;
Standard office/library environment - Frequent interruptions with low to moderate stress levels
- Noise level is quiet to moderate
- Ability to sit at a desk and/or in front of a computer for blocks of time
- Ability to push a cart of books and lift books onto shelves
- Occasionally required to move about the office/campus with the capability of transporting objects up to 20 lbs.
