The Astronomy, Mathematics, and Physics Department is seeking an affiliate faculty member to teach a new, project‑based introduction to engineering course. This part‑time, in‑person position will involve teaching, grading, and designing course activities.

• Teach a course that introduces students to the profession of engineering and basic engineering skills through hands‑on projects that address community needs.
• Provide instruction and facilitate active problem‑solving appropriate for our students.
• Keep complete and accurate grade records and evaluate student performance.
• Communicate regularly with students and the department chair, including via Regis‑provided email.
• Maintain regular office hours (one hour per week) to provide academic support.
• Participate in designing the course in consultation with the department chair.

• Master’s degree in an engineering discipline or closely related field.

• Experience as a Professional Engineer.
• Teaching experience in a related field.

The course is scheduled for Tuesdays 11:10 am – 2:50 pm, with possible adjustment to accommodate the instructor’s schedule. Classes are held in‑person.

Benefits‑eligible for workers’ compensation and eligible for 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.

$3,225 per course.
