Temporary, Part-Time Affiliate Faculty

The School of Hospitality at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) invites applications for temporary, part-time affiliate faculty teaching positions.

Responsibilities include teaching 3+ credit hours in subject areas such as Pro Start, Culinary, Introduction to Hotel, and Introduction to Event Management. Faculty will work and interact with diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff, demonstrate ability to effectively infuse technology into coursework, and be available for consultation with students.

Required qualifications include completion of a master's degree in the field in which the faculty member is assigned to teach or an associate's degree or higher in a hospitality-related discipline plus substantial professional experience. Preferred qualifications include nationally recognized certificates and licenses relevant to the field.

Affiliate faculty are part-time, at-will employees hired to teach on a per credit hour basis for specific classes, usually on a semester-by-semester basis. The final salary is based on the number of credit hours assigned at a rate determined by university policy, ranging between $1209 - $1482 per credit hour.
