Event and Meeting Management Affiliate Instructor, School of Hospitality

Affiliate Faculty Position

The School of Hospitality at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) invites applications for temporary, part-time affiliate faculty teaching positions.

Responsibilities include teaching 3+ credit hours in subject areas such as Wedding Planning, Event Industry, Event Project Management, Event Planning, Event Support Systems, and Special Event Production. The faculty member will work and interact with diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff, demonstrate ability to effectively infuse technology into coursework, and be available for consultation with students.

Required qualifications include completion of a Master's degree in the field or a Bachelor's degree in a hospitality-related discipline plus substantial professional experience. Preferred qualifications include nationally recognized certificates and licenses relevant to the field.

Terms of employment are part-time, at-will, and teaching assignments are dependent on budget and enrollment. The final salary is based on the number of credit hours assigned, with a rate between $1209 - $1482 per credit hour.
