Position: Student Engagement Liaison, Office of the Chancellor

Student Engagement Liaison

The Office of the Chancellor at the University of Denver is seeking a part-time Student Engagement Liaison to support the Chancellor's outreach to students and student organizations. This non-benefited, 10-month, limited-term position will begin in September 2026. Hours will vary throughout the academic year based on campus activity and engagement opportunities, but the position is expected to average 5-10 hours per week while classes are in session.

The Student Engagement Liaison, Office of the Chancellor, will be chiefly responsible for identifying opportunities for the Chancellor to engage with student organizations and leaders, and for building and maintaining relationships with student groups across campus. Additionally, the student engagement liaison will provide support to the Chancellor, Chief of Staff, and members of the Chancellor's Cabinet on initiatives and projects as requested.

The student engagement liaison will report to the Chief of Staff and work closely with members of the Chancellor's Office team. The student engagement liaison must have an interest in higher education and a commitment to supporting institutional initiatives.

This is a non-benefited position not to exceed 1,000 hours in a calendar year.

Essential Functions

  • Serve as a liaison to the student community; stay informed regarding emerging issues on campus and opportunities for student engagement.
  • Staff student events and meetings; coordinate meeting and event logistics, prepare agendas and briefing materials, and track follow-up items.
  • Serve as a liaison to help connect student inquiries with appropriate resources on campus.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Current University of Denver undergraduate student who has completed at least three academic years at DU, Current University of Denver graduate student who has established involvement in the DU community, or recent (within the last two years) University of Denver graduate.
  • Strong knowledge of the University of Denver student experience, campus culture, and student organizations, with demonstrated engagement and strong relationships across the DU community.
  • Experience participating in, leading, or engaging with student organizations, student government, campus programming, or related activities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership experience within the University of Denver community.
  • Experience with communications, event planning, student engagement, social media, or related activities.

Hourly Range

The hourly range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00.
