DF AY26/27 Pastoral Care of Migrants Program Assistant
University Ministry, the Center for Service Learning (CSL), and the Parent & Family Liaison (PFL) are working collaboratively to implement a Committee for the Pastoral Care of Migrants. This Committee will coordinate and strengthen Regis' support for mixed-status and undocumented students and their families, including cultivating community partnerships and alignment with initiatives in the Archdiocese of Denver. The Program Assistant for the Pastoral Care of Migrants will support the professional staff leads in one of three pillars:
Education and Faith Formation, Accompaniment, and Advocacy. These positions will be fully integrated members of the University Ministry team and will work collaboratively across departments to promote the efforts of the Committee and related programs. This position is funded for approximately 4 hours/week.
Actively participate in the work of building community, engaging in justice and advocacy and accompanying others across campus.
Serve as the primary student support within one of three pillars:
- Education and Faith Formation: sharing stories of migrants, engage peers, promote and facilitate opportunities to connect faith and action. Primary duties will be within the University Ministry office with shared time in other departments
- Accompaniment: support efforts to ensure migrants are "seen" and that practical and pastoral support is available. Primary duties will be within CSL with shared time in other departments
- Advocacy: support efforts to elevate opportunities for advocacy efforts on campus and with community partners. Primary duties will be within Student Affairs with the PFL with shared time in other departments
All Program Assistants will Attend "full-team" events such as monthly All-Staff meetings, Fall Festival, Mardi Gras, etc.
UMin student staff must plan to spend occasional hours on evening or weekend activities.
Students may have the opportunity to attend the Cabrini Summit in Chicago Oct 2-4, 2026
Additional Job Responsibilities –

- Utilize MS Office Suite, including Office 365, Canva, and Google Suite occasionally
- Work collaboratively with other student ministers, staff and other departments
- Support all functions of the department, whether duties are specific to this role or not
- Participate in monthly staff meetings (usually in the evening) and regular mentoring with UMin staff
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Prior experience with Hispanic/Latine outreach, migration issues, and/or advocacy work at the college level
- Interest in learning about and sharing opportunities for spiritual growth among Hispanic students
- Possess the ability to learn new tasks and work independently with limited supervision.
- Student must have some flexibility with schedule as the role requires some evening or weekend hours.
- Bilingual/biliterate in English & Spanish preferred

This position is benefits-eligible for workers' compensation and will receive 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.
Pay Rate
$19.29/hr
