The Department of Secondary, K‑12, and Educational Technology at Metropolitan State University of Denver is seeking part‑time affiliate faculty to teach undergraduate educational technology courses, including P‑12 teacher licensure programs and online instruction for Instructional Design and Technology graduate students.

Responsibilities
  • Teach 1‑9 credit hours per semester and be available for student consultation.
  • Deliver courses for secondary education, elementary education, special education, and early childhood education licensure programs.
  • Prepare course materials and lesson plans, grade assignments, and provide timely feedback.
  • Provide online or in‑person academic support to students as needed.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of a diverse student population.
  • Comply with university, college/school, and department policies and evaluations.
  • Supervise internships for undergraduate/post‑baccalaureate Instructional Design and Technology programs (if assigned).
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree (required) in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, or related field.
  • Preferred: ABD or completed Doctorate in Educational Technology, Instructional Design & Technology.
  • Experience teaching K‑12 educational technology or related courses.
Terms of Employment

Affiliate faculty are part‑time, at‑will employees hired on a per‑credit‑hour basis, typically semester‑by‑semester. Candidates will be expected to teach on‑campus in person upon hire. Affiliate faculty are not eligible for university benefit coverage.

Salary

The rate of pay per credit hour ranges from $1,264 to $1,482, determined by university policy.
