Position Summary
The Department of Management at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) is inviting applications for part‑time affiliate faculty teaching positions. The role requires teaching between 3 and 9 credit hours per semester in general management, entrepreneurship, operations/production, human resources, or international business.
Responsibilities- Teach 3–9 credit hours in the designated areas.
- Deliver course content in person or online, develop lesson plans, and grade student work.
- Provide timely and robust feedback to students and address their questions in line with university and department policies.
- Offer academic support in person or online as needed for the assignment.
- Provide instruction consistent with course learning objectives and the syllabus.
- Comply with university student evaluation and peer observation policies.
- Adapt teaching methods to new instructional modalities.
- Engage with and support a diverse student population.
- Master’s degree in Management or a related field.
- Meet the College of Business Faculty Qualification Policy as either SP or IP (see College of Business Faculty Qualification Policy).
- Doctorate in a management‑related field, or dissertation complete with defense pending.
- Work experience in the teaching field.
Affiliate faculty are part‑time, at‑will employees hired on a per credit‑hour basis for specific classes, typically on a semester‑by‑semester basis. Faculty are not eligible for the university’s benefit program and must teach in person/on campus upon hire. Employment is contingent on budget and enrollment.
SalaryPay rates per credit hour range from $1,264 to $1,482, based on university policy.
