Job SummaryThe Healthy Lifestyles Coordinator plays a key role in delivering impactful youth programs across 4-5 assigned Boys & Girls Clubs and supporting outdoor education at Gates Camp during the summer. Reporting to the Healthy Lifestyles Manager, this position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and facilitating high-yield and targeted programs for Club members ages 5-18.
The Coordinator leads Healthy Lifestyles programming, including nutrition education, physical activity, outdoor education and field trips, substance use prevention, and healthy relationships. This role involves a mix of in-Club programming, field trips, and administrative work to ensure high-quality experiences for Club members. The Coordinator is also responsible for managing multiple grant budgets to ensure funding is effectively allocated and program goals are met.
This position will begin by focusing on the needs of assigned Clubs, but at times may support other clubs or may adjust their focus depending on Club needs. Because club models vary, individual schedules will also vary. Individual hours will be set by supervisors in increments of 6 hours between the hours of 8 am and 8 pm. Exceptions will be rare and must be approved in writing.
& Responsibilities
- Demonstrate knowledge of, respect for, and engagement with the communities served by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver.
- Facilitate programming across multiple Clubs, focusing on nutrition, health, and outdoor education.
- Oversee and manage multiple grant budgets across various sites, ensuring proper allocation and compliance.
- Support and maintain strong relationships with Club staff, members, and families to foster a positive program environment.
- Assist with program administration, including data tracking, reporting, and compliance with funding requirements.
- Lead programming facilitation, including in-Club activities, field trips, and outdoor education initiatives.
