Qualifications & Desired

Experience:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field
• Valid Special Education teaching credential or eligibility to obtain one
• Demonstrated experience working with children in a special education capacity
• Proficiency in developing and implementing IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
• Commitment to supporting diverse learners and promoting a positive school experience

Responsibilities:

• Develop and individualize lesson plans that accommodate students specific learning and behavioral needs
• Modify curriculum for students with a wide range of disabilities
• Conduct assessments and maintain comprehensive records of student progress
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to implement IEPs and coordinate instructional strategies
• Engage and communicate with families to support student achievement and well-being
• Maintain a safe, supportive classroom environment that encourages student growth and inclusion
