The Morgridge College of Education is looking to hire adjunct instructors for the academic year to teach a variety of graduate courses in the Counseling Psychology. Courses may vary. This posting will serve for multiple openings throughout the academic year.
Essential FunctionsCourse Adjunct Faculty Responsibilities:
- Teach in person once or twice a week (depending on course);
- Create and maintain course Canvas container;
- Meet with students as needed;
- Assign papers, exams and other deliverables as appropriate;
- Grade in a timely manner;
- Participate in recruiting and informational events as needed;
- If the course includes multiple sections, collaborate with instructors of other sections.
- Master’s Degree
- Previous teaching experience
- Successful teaching/facilitation experience with adults at the graduate level.
- PhD
- Successful teaching/facilitation experience with adults in graduate education programs.
While the University’s administrative offices are open Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, faculty schedules vary from term to term and are based on courses taught, service commitments, and research agendas. The University’s academic calendars are posted on the registrar’s website: https:// .

- Unexpected interruptions occur often, and stress level is moderate to high.
- Noise level is quiet to moderate.
- Ability to sit or stand in front of a computer for an extended period.
- Occasionally required to move about the office/campus.

Course Rate$1,290 per credit hour taught
