Position Summary The Morgridge College of Education is looking to hire adjunct instructors for the academic year to teach a variety of graduate courses in the Counseling Psychology. Courses may vary. Essential Functions Course Adjunct Faculty Responsibilities:
- Teach in person once or twice a week (depending on course);
- Create and maintain course Canvas container;
- Meet with students as needed;
- Assign papers, exams and other deliverables as appropriate;
- Grade in a timely manner;
- Participate in recruiting and informational events as needed;
- If the course includes multiple sections, collaborate with instructors of other sections.
- Master’s Degree
- Previous teaching experience
- Successful teaching/facilitation experience with adults at the graduate level.
- PhD
- Successful teaching/facilitation experience with adults in graduate education programs.
Working Environment
- Standard office environment.
- Unexpected interruptions occur often, and stress level is moderate to high.
- Noise level is quiet to moderate.
- Ability to sit or stand in front of a computer for an extended period.
- Occasionally required to move about the office/campus.

Course Rate $1,290 per credit hour taught The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, available market information, and course enrollment, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
