The Director of Education and Work-Based Learning at Loretto Heights will lead and create educational work-based learning experiences for the Venue Management and Operations Associate in Applied Science degree program at the Loretto Heights theater, an off-campus professionally staffed and run theater and teaching/learning facility serving Loretto Heights and the greater surrounding community. The director will have experience creating competency-based educational programs and work-based learning experiences.

This position will work closely with the theater venue’s professional staff to coordinate, track, and record on the job learning experiences for the part-time student employee program cohort. Additionally, the director will manage the academic student experience and partner with other CCD divisions such as student services and workforce initiatives to ensure holistic student support.

Operations at Loretto Heights are rooted in a workforce training and educational mission, using the venue as a hands-on learning environment for students pursuing careers in venue management, live events, and production management. The ideal candidate will bring an open mind, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for mentoring and educating emerging professionals through a well-rounded, real-world training program. • Schedule and staff courses in the venue management and operations degree program
• Manage and organize the day-to-day operations of student work-based learning initiatives in conjunction with venue staff
• Assist students with advising, registration, progression through the program, and other student support needs
• Serve as a liaison between the Loretto Heights venue and Community College of Denver academic affairs division and pathway dean
• Engage in college and venue data tracking and reporting efforts
• Collaborate with other departments including student services and workforce initiatives to create opportunities for student success
• Oversee college curriculum review, program review, and assessment processes and engage in data-driven decision-making to improve student learning outcomes
• Represent the academic program at college and community meetings and events, actively engaging with stakeholders and community partners
