Position

Manager, Power Markets

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Power Markets to join our team. In this role, you will leverage deep knowledge of the power markets—including price movements, supply-demand conditions, congestion dynamics, CRR/FTR markets, and regulatory changes—to generate actionable insights for our clients on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly cadence. You will be responsible for developing market models, forecasting, and producing both broad power market and CRR/FTR-focused publications (ERCOT and MISO market preferred) that provide key recommendations supporting short- and long-term planning, congestion risk management strategies, and market analysis for traders, analysts, and financial planners in the power market space.

You will also contribute to the power industry by hosting webinars, writing blogs, and CRR/FTR-focused reports, engaging with clients, positioning our company as a thought leader in the energy sector.

Responsibilities
  • Market Analysis & Forecasting:
    Apply advanced knowledge of power market dynamics to forecast market trends and develop actionable insights for clients using Enverus Software Tools.
  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement:
    Build and maintain relationships with clients, sales teams, and marketing departments; provide thought leadership through written content, host webinars, and educate clients on market dynamics and CRR/FTR strategies.
  • Leadership & Mentorship:
    Lead and mentor junior team members, promoting continuous learning and development of CRR/FTR analytical and publication capabilities.
  • Thought Leadership:
    Contribute to industry discussions and represent the company in external forums to enhance its position as a thought leader in energy markets.
Qualifications
  • Educational Background:
    Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Energy Economics, Engineering, Business, Finance). Advanced degree is a plus.
  • Experience:

    7+ years in power markets, trading, or related field; expertise in wholesale power market structures, pricing, congestion dynamics, forecasting methods; direct experience in ERCOT/MISO Power Market and CRR/FTR markets preferred.
  • Analytical & Quantitative

    Skills:

    Proficient in data analysis, modeling, and quantitative techniques; experience with energy market modeling software and data platforms; ability to perform scenario analysis and provide actionable insights and trade ideas.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    Experience with energy market modeling tools (e.g., Dayzer, Plexos, Powerworld, UPLAN) and applying them to congestion analysis and CRR/FTR valuation.
  • Communication

    Skills:

    Excellent written and verbal communication for senior leadership, clients, and external stakeholders, including through market and CRR/FTR publications.
  • Leadership & Mentorship:
    Proven ability to lead teams and mentor junior staff.
  • Client-Facing

    Experience:

    Comfortable building and maintaining client relationships, generating leads, and identifying customer needs.
