Responsibilities and Duties
- Senior Civil Engineer (Lead Instructor) | Dam Operator Safety Training:

• Provides technical expertise on dam operations, spillways, and outlet works. Develops and reviews training materials on dam fundamentals, inspection techniques, and maintenance best practices. Ensures technical accuracy and compliance with DOI Safety of Dams standards. Transforms Dam O&M principles into practical training modules that operators can apply the next day. Author classroom modules on Dam fun Damentals, spillways/outlets, O&M best practices;
  
  support field practicum checklists; review site-specific appendices; mentor junior staff; contribute to instrumentation overviews; technical QA/QC of slides and workbooks.

Education / Experience Requirements / Qualifications

• BSCE required; MS preferred; PE license required (any state, ability to obtain reciprocity).
• 10+ years civil/water resources focused on Dams/canals/reservoirs; prior federal owner/operator or consultant experience; familiarity with DOI SOD frameworks; past training or technical facilitation experience.
