Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Overview

Senior Geotechnical Engineer – focus on environmental remediation for government and private clients. Based in the U.S. with nationwide projects.

• Lead design and implementation of geotechnical aspects of environmental remediation sites.
• Evaluate site conditions, determine geotechnical design data needs, assess remedial alternatives, perform engineering calculations, develop designs.
• Prepare work plans, reports, design documents and specifications.
• Mentor junior/mid-level engineers, share knowledge.
• Prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and support field data collection.
• Ensure safety and health & safety standards.

• Master’s degree in Geotechnical, Environmental, Geological, or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years professional experience in geotechnical design for remediation projects.
• High-level knowledge of slope stability, settlement, groundwater seepage, retaining wall, seismic design, and ground improvement.
• Experience with design software such as Roc Science Settle3, Slide2/3, BSI Multiplier, PDI Grl Weap, Mathcad Prime, Deep Excavation, Ensoft Apile, Lpile, Pywall, Plaxis3D, SNAP-2.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Strong technical writing, communication, and leadership skills.
• 40‑hour HAZWOPER certification.

• Competitive base salary $123,600–$180,000.
