Job Description

Manage and assist in the completion of day‑to‑day activities, including maintenance of building/facility, equipment and machinery such as HVAC, building lighting systems, production lines, grounds keeping and overall facility appearance. Coordinate and oversee employees who repair and maintain building/facility, equipment and machinery. Manage the engineering, design and installation phases of new equipment, line upgrades and other capital projects. Oversee preventative/predictive maintenance and Maintenance Work Order Systems.

Create and manage budgets related to facility, repair and labor. Work with Cornerstone’s Core Values:

Specific Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to ensure the factory operates safely, at the highest quality level and lowest possible cost.
  • Support the plant in achieving budgeted labor efficiency MPO/UPMH.
  • Oversee construction and repair projects.
  • Manage the work order system designed to establish priority and control over maintenance requests from plant personnel, ensuring timely completion.
  • Arrange procurement of outside contractors for specific maintenance and repair assignments.
  • Develop and maintain Preventive Maintenance Schedule program for applicable equipment and machinery.
  • Develop and manage the plant Capital and Capacity plans, ensuring on‑time and within‑budget execution; prepare budgets and secure estimates and cost quotes as needed.
  • Manage spare parts inventory.
  • Responsible for engineering, design and modification/installation of existing and/or new capital equipment.
  • Compile and maintain drawings and records on plant facility.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws.
  • Leads by example and imposes all safety and operational procedures; promote and ensure a safe working environment in compliance with company and regulatory standards by coaching and guiding associates on safety procedures and maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • All other duties, as assigned.
Requirements
  • BS Degree in Engineering
  • 8+ years of experience in an Engineering Management role
  • 3+ years people management experience
  • Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) experience
  • Lean skills including Kaizen, Standardized Work, VSM, etc.
  • Knowledgeable in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CMMS
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Experience with AutoCAD
Physical Demands
  • Walk and sit; use fingers and hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop and kneel; talk and hear; bend at waist.
  • Stand on hard surfaces; sit for long periods; climb or balance.
  • Specific vision abilities including close, color, peripheral and depth perception; adjust and focus.
  • Lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 49 pounds with proper equipment and assistance.
  • Subject to fluctuating temperatures within the work facility, impacted by weather.
Work Environment
