This role supports HDR’s Building Engineering Services Group, focusing on electrical engineering for a variety of facilities and industries. You will contribute to projects that drive sustainability, human experience, and technological advancement.

HDR is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join a rapidly growing Electrical team in Colorado. We work as an integrated team supporting complex engineering projects across Healthcare, Science and Technology, Commercial Real Estate, Mission Critical, Hospitality, Industrial, Municipal, Sports, Transportation, Federal, and Oil & Gas facilities.

Responsibilities- Coordinate the electrical design team on large projects through schematic design, development, and contract documents.
- Establish meetings and participate in code compliance reviews with governing agencies.
- Coordinate workload to meet project schedules.
- Lead work sessions on-site with Project Manager and other disciplines.
- Review electrical documents for conflicts with other disciplines.
- Write/edit electrical specifications and select equipment, systems, and devices.
- Coordinate with affected disciplines on addenda, RFIs, CPRs, and change orders; incorporate changes into documents.
- Provide construction contract administration as needed.
- Perform QA/QC on the work of other Electrical Engineers, Coordinators, or Technicians.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis; professional engineering license (PE or P.Eng) recognized by the licensing board for the position’s location.
- Experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting, power, systems).
- Strong computer skills using AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI, and Easy Power.
- Master’s degree in Architectural Engineering with Electrical emphasis.
- Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED.
