About the Role:

We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Development Engineer to support the electrical scoping of projects for our power systems. This critical role will drive project execution, ensuring all electrical systems meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, execute within project timelines and budgets, and contribute to the successful deployment of cutting‑edge technology solutions.

What

You'll Be Working On:
  • Project Planning Support:
    Support the development phase of comprehensive project plans, including technical design, equipment and material specification ensuring budget and schedule alignment.

  • Contribute to regular project status meetings and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

  • Electrical System Design & Engineering:
    Contribute to the design and specification of electrical systems for Power systems projects, including but not limited to power generation equipment, transformers, and switch gear.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards, codes, and regulations.

  • Develop and review technical documentation, drawings, and specifications.

  • Procurement Oversight:
    Manage the procurement of electrical equipment from vendors.

  • Due Diligence:
    Take part in due diligence and initial qualification of new equipment suppliers.

What You'll Bring to the Team:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

  • Proven experience in industrial environments, with a preference for experience in power generation and distribution.

  • Experience in substation design is highly advantageous.

  • Electrical Engineering Knowledge:
    In‑depth knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including power systems, control systems, and electrical safety standards.

  • Experience with electrical equipment design, procurement, and installation.

  • Familiarity with relevant industry codes and regulations (e.g., NEC).

  • Proven ability to be a contributing member in a high performing team.

  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

  • Flexibility to travel to field locations up to 25%, or as required.

  • This position is a safety‑sensitive position and/or is located in a safety‑sensitive facility. Drug and alcohol program participation is required.

Compensation Range

Compensation will be paid in the range of up to $140,000 - $180,000 + Bonus. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicants knowledge, education, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
