Job SummaryThis hands‑on, full‑time position leads the electrical portion of engineering projects, including conducting tasks and calculations necessary to order and integrate electrical equipment to run the site. The role determines scope, schedule, and workflow and serves as the main point of contact for all technical or construction questions.
Essential Duties And Major Responsibilities- Discipline Engineering
- Perform engineering tasks within the engineer’s background, education, and licensure knowledge base.
- Develop electrical design packages. Packages include but are not limited to load lists, one‑lines, circuit schedules, lighting, grounding, cable tray, underground plans, layouts, area classifications, 3D model reviews, and project lead reports.
- Complete electrical reports, calculations, and studies.
- Respond to questions from the field team during construction.
- Electrical Equipment Specification
- Size and rate electrical equipment needed to perform required project functions.
- Create electrical equipment specifications and datasheets.
- Review vendor and contractor bids and assist in procurement.
- Ensure Quality of Engineering Deliverables
- Review deliverables for engineering correctness and constructability.
- Facilitate interaction between departments, including completing a RACI model (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed) interdepartmental check.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
- Relevant experience: 0‑3 years working with multidisciplinary project teams in engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree in a science related field or equivalent experience required.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Experienced user of technology and software required to execute daily tasks.
- Ability to self‑direct and have a sense of responsibility for own tasks, deliverables, and timelines.
- Valid, active driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
- The position does not have regular responsibility for overseeing or supervising other team members.
- Work is closely monitored by supervisor/manager/leader; detailed instructions and procedures are generally provided.
- The work environment is a typical office environment with significant distractions from staff, clients, and vendors.
- Employee must sit, reach with arms, handle tools, and occasionally lift up to 25 lb.
