This role is based in any U.S. location. You will prepare a wide range of estimates for complex water projects, from conceptual to detailed design. The role requires reviewing design documents, proposals, specifications, drawings, attending design development meetings, making site visits to define scope, and creating project work breakdown structures. You will calculate scope take-offs, assist contracts staff, apply construction means and methods, prepare schedules, and calculate indirect field and owner costs.
Responsibilities- Develop project work breakdown structures and complete scope take-offs.
- Assist contracts staff with statements of work for subcontractors and vendors.
- Apply construction means and methods and prepare schedules.
- Calculate indirect field and owner costs.
- Collaborate with design teams to determine required input for design‑build construction estimates.
- Develop reports and presentations and analyze historical data.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
- Proficient skills in Word, Excel, estimating, scheduling, and database software.
- Understanding of estimating organizational structure and processes, including quantity takeoff, crew development, productivity relationships, material quotations, contingency/risk, markup structures and estimate documentation.
- Proficient in quantitative risk analysis using @Risk and Primavera Risk analysis.
- Experience with industry estimating software such as Timberline, HCSS Heavy Bid, and MII Estimating systems.
- Knowledge of project scheduling with Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
- Able to travel to meet project needs.
- Water background in electrical estimating.
- Design Build background.
- Ability to complete tasks independently.
- Adept at interpersonal relationship building and conflict resolution.
- Experience mentoring junior staff.
$/yr – $/yr.
