Job Title - Senior Structural Bridge Engineer
Location - Denver, CO (Centennial)
Job Type – Hybrid, Onsite
Stanley Consultants is seeking a Senior Structural Bridge Engineer for our Denver, CO (Centennial) office.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Lead and perform engineering design tasks and coordinate with CADD teams in developing plans, specifications, and estimates for preliminary and final design of steel and concrete bridges, walls, and minor structures (Culverts, mast arms, etc.)
- Identify and understand technical requirements of design projects and implement engineering principles to develop solutions, staffing and execution to include quality control of work
- Identify, interpret, and apply appropriate design standards and codes; ensure compliance with contract documents and coordinates with other disciplines
- Participate in technical meetings and discussions; strategize solutions to complex or unique technical problems assisting in the development of scope, fees, project execution and planning
- Identify technical differentiators and develop schemes for key project pursuits
- Assist in providing construction assistance, including reviews of shop drawings, Requests for Information (RFIs) and other construction related issues
- Assistance other Stanley bridge department locations
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree or greater in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering (Masters Preferred, PhD a Plus)
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in at least one state, with the ability to obtain a PE license in Colorado. Colorado Professional Structural Engineer license preferred. Ability to obtain other state PE licenses a plus
- Experience with CDOT or Denver area Cities and Counties. Experience with ADOT, UDOT or TxDOT a plus.
- Minimum of 10+ years’ structural/bridge engineering design experience
- Strong all-around theoretical knowledge of structural engineering principles
- Experience with the design of multiple bridge types in concrete and steel, wall systems, and minor structures. Steel plate / box / truss, straight / curved experience a plus
- Design experience with AASHTO LRFD, AISC, ACI, and other North American design codes and standards. Knowledge of CDOT standards and procedures a plus but not required
- Proficiency in Open Bridge, MathCAD, STAAD Pro, LPILE, LEAP Bridge software, MDX, Bentley/Micro Station products, Midas, LARSA 4D, or other equivalent engineering standard bridge software
- Proficiency in seismic and non-linear analysis as well as soil structure interaction analysis and post-tensioned concrete
While some members choose to work out of their local office on a full-time basis, we offer a hybrid schedule for eligible positions consisting of two days a week in the office, two days a week remotely, and Friday being a flexible day that can be worked either in the office or gible roles can also offer a compressed workweek schedule.
