On Olsson’s Substation & Power Generation team, you’ll help design systems that safely and reliably deliver power to communities. As a Group Leader on Olsson’s Substation & Power Generation team, you will lead a skilled group of professionals focused on designing safe, reliable, and future‑ready power infrastructure. This role is ideal for a leader who excels in mentorship, technical guidance, strategic planning, and who enjoys building strong client relationships while connecting daily project work to broader team and organizational goals.
Responsibilities- Lead and mentor a team of supervisors and technical staff, supporting growth and development across all experience levels.
- Foster a culture of open communication, trust, collaboration, and alignment with the Substation & Power Generation team’s vision.
- Oversee project execution and quality assurance to ensure successful delivery of substation design projects.
- Monitor group performance, workload, and utilization to identify improvement opportunities and implement strategies that enhance efficiency.
- Guide process development and resource planning to support operational excellence across project life cycles.
- Serve as a client‑facing leader, building strong relationships and representing Olsson with professionalism and deep technical understanding.
- Help team members connect their technical contributions to the broader goals and long‑term direction of the Substation & Power Generation team and the organization.

- At least four years of experience supervising technical personnel, with a demonstrated ability to lead through others and support teams across varying experience levels.
- 8+ years of technical experience in substation design or related high‑voltage electrical infrastructure.
- A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, engineering technology, or a related field is preferred. An associate degree with equivalent experience will also be considered.
$144,000 - $198,000 USD
