A fast-growing space scale-up is building out its US satellite Assembly, Integration, and Testing capability and is hiring a senior Systems Engineer to lead this effort.
This role will be responsible for the end-to-end integration and testing of small satellites, including the integration of customer payloads with spacecraft buses. You will play a key role in establishing and operating a cleanroom environment in Denver, owning AI&T processes, workflows, and execution as the US capability scales.
This is a hands‑on, delivery‑focused position with real ownership. You will initially operate as a team of one, with the opportunity to grow and lead the function over time, working closely with international engineering teams and senior leadership.
Key responsibilities:- Lead assembly, integration, and testing of complete satellites
- Integrate customer payloads with spacecraft buses and oversee testing through launch readiness
- Establish and operate cleanroom and AI&T processes in the US
- Troubleshoot integration issues across mechanical, electrical, and systems interfaces
- Support environmental testing including thermal vacuum and vibration
- Own documentation including integration plans, test procedures, and reports
- 5+ years experience in satellite systems engineering or AI&T
- Proven hands‑on experience integrating complete satellites
- Strong background integrating payloads with spacecraft buses
- Comfortable operating in fast‑paced, high‑ownership environments
- Experience standing up or scaling AI&T or cleanroom operations
- Experience contributing to satellite bus design or build
$120,000 to $170,000 base salary plus benefits and bonus
