The successful candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance, diagnostics, and technical support activities within live airport environments, notably at Denver International Airport. This hands‑on role involves troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and control‑related issues, supporting fault diagnosis, repair, and system optimisation to ensure baggage handling systems operate reliably and meet performance specifications.
The engineer will develop and refine maintenance procedures, carry out mechanical and electrical repairs, and support the operational stability of complex conveyors, sorters, and early baggage storage systems. You will be required to interpret technical drawings, diagnostic tools, and electrical schematics, working independently and in a high‑pressure environment to minimise downtime and maximise system efficiency.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in service engineering within airport BHS environments, supporting 24/7 operations.
- Hands‑on expertise with mechanical components such as conveyors, sorters, motors, gearboxes, and bearings.
- Strong electrical skills, including working with industrial panels, MCCs, sensors, VFDs, and wiring schematics.
- Experience with PLC‑based control systems, fault analysis via PLC diagnostics, and SCADA systems used in BHS.
- Knowledge of operational concepts like baggage flow processes, jam recovery, and early baggage storage logic.
- Well‑versed in using diagnostic tools and familiar with industrial network protocols such as Profinet.
- Ability to work safely within airport environments under lockout/tagout procedures and adhere to safety standards.
This position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, ongoing training, and career development opportunities within a globally recognised intralogistics company. You will work in a dynamic environment, supporting critical airport operations, with travel opportunities to various locations. The role provides stability, a structured work schedule, and the chance to contribute to innovative baggage handling solutions that keep international airports running smoothly.
