About Us
Guidant Power provides arc flash evaluations, infrared inspection and electrical safety training to industrial, commercial and healthcare clients nationwide. Since 2011 we have completed thousands of evaluations and inspections for well‑known companies in healthcare, energy, and manufacturing.
Job OverviewWe are adding a data collector to our team to help make workplaces safer. If you have experience with 480V 3‑phase factory, hospital or data center systems, we want to talk with you.
Key Responsibilities- Travel to job sites to conduct arc flash evaluations.
- Open equipment and record information via photos, paper, and electronic means.
- Read and understand one‑line drawings and edit them to create accurate as‑built drawings.
- Test and document performance of Line Isolation Monitors (LIMs) and Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) following established procedures and customer requirements.
- Utilize online document storage to retrieve and upload data, and use spreadsheets to enter information.
- Communicate with engineering and the customer to answer questions and ensure accuracy.
- Apply labels to electrical equipment.
- Represent the company professionally at all times, acting as the company's interface with customers and seeking additional opportunities.
- Use your experience to accurately describe electrical distribution systems so our engineers can efficiently model them.
- Work with a wide variety of customers—from ice cream factories and tire plants to hospitals and nuclear power plants—and learn how a broad range of industries operate.
- Prior industrial electrical experience, including arc flash evaluations, LIM or ATS testing, or an electrical engineering degree.
- Ability to travel, including a valid driver’s license and air travel.
- Lives within an hour of a major airport.
- Proficient using laptops, tablets and applications such as Google Drive, spreadsheets, Google Photos, and PDF files.
- Proven teamwork and collaboration skills in a small, highly focused and interactive team.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and walk, stand, and crawl for extended periods.
- Must reside in the United States.
- Employment visa sponsorship is not currently available.
- This is a 100% travel position.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $ per year
