The Construction Project Engineer will assist the Project Manager in overseeing 5–8 mechanical construction projects simultaneously, from start to finish.
Essential Functions- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Manage procurement from start to finish, including submittals, procurement tracking, purchase orders, and closeout documentation.
- Maintain document control, including updated drawing sets, specifications, meeting agendas, and file systems.
- Research, submit, track, and return RFIs.
- Assist the Project Manager with project startup and closeout processes.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors on material orders and equipment deliveries.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional email and phone etiquette.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Corporate environment or job site – fully onsite.
Position Type / Expected Hours of WorkFull-time, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required.
TravelNo travel required. This is a fully onsite position.
Requirements Qualifications- 1–3 years of experience in a similar role.
- General understanding of mechanical systems (plumbing, hydronics, sheet metal).
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Sage, Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook).
Education and Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in mechanical construction project engineering.
- Advanced proficiency with project management tools and software.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
