We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer/ or Industrial Designer with at least 5 years of expertise in design for manufacturing to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in enhancing our current product lines, contributing to the design and development of future products, and supporting our existing lineup to ensure quality and performance meet the high standards our customers expect.

Key Responsibilities andJob Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication and organization skills
- 5+ years of experience using Solidworks
- 5+ years of experience with DFM in the fields of sheet metal fabrication, machining, 3D printing, sheet good processing via CNC routers, casting, extrusions, injection molding
- Strong understanding of material sciences to ensure product longevity and inter-material compatibility
- Deep knowledge of most commonly known fastening methods to spec the most cost effective solution while maintaining all mechanical requirements for product stability (i.e. riveting, rivnuts, welding, bolting, blind riveting, semi-tubular riveting, buck rivets, spot welding, VHB bonding, adhesive bonding etc)
- 2+ years of experience communicating with vendors for RFQ’s, MOQs, value engineering suggestions, part revisions and modifications, QC feedback etc
- Finite Element Analysis is desirable but not required
- Automotive or 4x4 background is a plus
- Collaborate with senior engineers to assist in designing, developing and testing new truck camper models and accessories
- Perform any tasks requested as needed to move the operation forward
- Proficient in Google Workplace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Slides)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks
- Stand, bend, and reach for extended periods
- Comfortable working in various environmental conditions, including exposure to dust and noise
- Full-time
- $75,000 - $95,000 Depending on Experience
