Position: Senior Civil Designer I

OVERVIEW

Merrick & Company is seeking a Sr. Civil Designer/Project Design Lead in our Denver, CO office to support surface water/drainage, water and wastewater treatment, and pumping and pipeline project execution for Municipal, State, Federal, commercial and industrial client sectors.

Pay range for this position is $42.00 - $51.00 per hour. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

The ideal candidate will perform non-routine assignments and must be capable of making sound drafting/CAD decisions, produce and develop CAD drawings, be knowledgeable of project workflow, and exercise independent judgment, while receiving minimal instructions from supervisors. Drawing elements include sitework and building layout, drainage improvement plans, yard piping and utilities, paving and grading; building and structure plan, building section and detail view development that includes interior piping, equipment and structural components;

and plan and profile drawing development for drainage collection/design, water distribution and sanitary sewer collection system pipelines.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of eight (8) to years of AutoCAD/Civil 3D drafting experience is required.
  • Experience in municipal water and wastewater projects is a must.
  • Associates Degree in Drafting, Graphic Design preferred or Technical College Certification; or Equivalent Relevant Experience.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience developing drawings in Autodesk Revit.
  • Experience in field inspection and construction management to assist the Construction Services Team.
