Facility Designer I is an essential, valued member of the HDR O&M Facilities Design staff directly responsible for developing a major portion of our project deliverables. This person is self‑motivated, creative, and innovative, with the ability to be a team player in an international, employee‑owned A/E firm.

• Facility programming, report writing, site master planning, developing specifications and construction documents
• Selection, coordination, and layout of various aspects of design (industrial shop equipment, site flow, etc.)
• Creating / using Building Information Modeling (BIM) to complete different levels of documents
• Submittal, shop drawing, and RFI review
• Conduct construction field observations

Other design / engineering tasks as assigned

• Experience in industrial design, facility planning, equipment layout, or workflow analysis is preferred but will consider entry level candidates with 4‑year degree and strong BIM skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to effectively work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to effectively interact with and present to client
• Exceptional level of accuracy and detail

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, industrial design or related
• Command of Revit and AutoCAD, and knowledge of Sketch Up
• Command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project)
• Working knowledge of LOD 300 requirements
