Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with expertise in Solid Works and AutoCAD to join our dynamic team.

This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative R&D projects within the automation industry and contribute to the growth of a company with over 140 years of history.

Responsibilities

* Design and test packaging and automation equipment.

* Provide engineered packaging solutions that enhance performance and reliability in process fulfillment facilities worldwide.

* Spearhead the redesign of existing products to reduce cost or improve efficiencies and quality.

* Convert functional design concepts and preliminary 2D and 3D drawings into solid models and detailed bill of materials.

* Engage in the design of new equipment, redesign of current equipment, or development of complete systems.

Essential Skills

* Proficiency in Solid Works and AutoCAD, including 2D and 3D design.

* Experience in mechanical or electro/mechanical engineering.

* Minimum of 4 years of experience in engineering projects.

* Understanding of distribution center operations, material handling technology, and warehouse software system technology.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

* Experience with automation, conveyors, sortation systems, and packaging systems.

* Background in designing packaging machines is a plus.

* Experience in designing and developing complete engineering systems.

* Ability to work on a variety of projects and adapt to different avenues.

Work Environment

This is a three-month contract position based in Colorado, with the possibility of extension or becoming permanent, depending on workload. The role requires in-office attendance every day, with no travel involved. The company is expanding to a larger facility in Aurora, offering more room for growth. The environment balances a family-owned feel with the robust resources of a larger corporate entity.

This is a Contract position based out of Denver, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $65.00/hr.
