The Transportation Business Unit is seeking a Transportation Engineer-in-Training in Denver, Colorado.

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities:

* Works with project teams on all aspects of projects, including project set-up, drafting, design, quality review and quality assurance, project coordination/organization, etc.

* Prepares and designs improvement plans for a wide range of multi-modal transportation projects

* Prepares and/or modifies construction documents, reports, specifications, cost estimates, and designs for projects

* Analyzes maps, reports, drawings, as-builts and test results for design projects

* Assists with post design construction support services to respond to contractor RFI's, submittal reviews, as-built preparation, and field observations

* Performs construction inspection on project-specific basis

* Coordinates work with other disciplines and offices on multi-discipline projects

What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in civil engineering

* 0-4 years of professional engineering experience

* Experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

* Good communication skills (written and oral)

* Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences

* Familiar with AutoCAD and/or Micro Station

Preferred Qualifications:

* Drafting and design experience with Bentley Open Roads and/or Civil 3D for the design of alignments and 3D design surfaces

* Experience with HEC-RAS and EPA SWMM and MHFD design software

* Experience with ArcGIS

* Transportation project experience

* Construction management experience

* EIT Registration or ability to obtain within one year

* 1+ years of experience designing transportation or related projects
