The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The hiring range for this position is $110,000 - $155,000/annually, based on experience and education. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. In this position you can expect to work from a job site (office) a minimum of three days per week. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.

This is a limited, fixed term full-time position guaranteed until September 30, 2029.

DOTI is seeking an organized and collaborative engineer to perform Regulatory Transportation and Wastewater Engineering Plan Review, with a focus on impact of affordable housing projects to the public Rights of Way and sewer systems. This role will be critical to delivering more housing, and more affordable housing in Denver.

Over the past decade, the City and County of Denver has made significant strides in expanding access to affordable housing. From the creation of Denver's first dedicated affordable housing fund in 2016, to the formation of the Department of Housing Stability (HOST) in 2019, and the launch of the Affordable Housing Review Team (AHRT) pilot in 2020, our commitment has been clear and consistent.

Building on this foundation, this position supports Denver’s implementation of a Fast Track review process consistent with Proposition 123. This role is uniquely suited to help the City and County of Denver achieve its goal of increasing its affordable housing by 4,631 additional units between 2023 – 2026. This position is funded through a $4.5 million grant received from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to support Denver’s commitment in addressing long-standing barriers to affordable housing.
