What You’ll Do:
This role supports the structural engineering team by producing and coordinating construction documents for a range of residential and light civil projects, including production homes, custom homes, remodels, and occasional DOT-related work. The position focuses on efficient, accurate drafting and coordination, with an emphasis on supporting repeatable, high-volume project types. You will play a key role in documentation, coordination, and production support while continuing to grow your technical skillset within the structural group.
- Prepare and revise structural drawings using AutoCAD 2D for residential and light civil projects
- Assist in developing plan sets for production housing, including foundations, framing plans, and details
- Support drafting for retaining walls, small site structures, and related components
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to incorporate markups and revisions into construction documents
- Utilize Revit to support modeling and documentation efforts
- Maintain drawing standards and ensure consistency across project types
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate deliverables
- Assist with basic quantity takeoffs and document organization as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Typically, 1–4+ years of Structural design experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D preferred
- Familiarity with Revit is required
- Experience with residential construction (production homes, custom homes, remodels) strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow redlines and direction from engineers
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
We are targeting a base salary of $65,000 to $75,000, but is determined by several factors including education, experience, and a history of working in the Denver metro area.
