Responsibilities
- Learn and coordinate all aspects of the STC certification process with internal stakeholders, the FAA, ODAs, DERs, and/or UMs
- Support the FAA certification processes: authoring or reviewing plan submissions, conformity inspections, ground/flight tests, reports, etc.
- Maintain and update existing STCs through the processing of Minor Changes
- Support DO-160G and coordinate DO-178C Software and DO-254 Airborne Electronic Hardware efforts. Review hardware and software technical documentation and author certification documentation in accordance with applicable regulations and standards
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify FAA certification regulations and requirements and determine methods of compliance
- Support the revision and updating of existing processes and procedures
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience required
- 0-2 years’ experience with FAA regulations, procedures and the STC process
- Ability to work effectively and productively with team members and cross functional teams
- Willingness to adapt to changing priorities; have a positive attitude towards change in a fast-moving environment
- Ability to write and review technical documents
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- 1-2 years of Engineering related experience and/or experience with FAA regulations, procedures and the STC process
- Aircraft design or maintenance experience
- Exposure to leading or managing projects (systems, software, or hardware)
- Familiarity with DO-160, DO-178C, and DO-254
- Base Pay: 64,000. USD Annual
- Target Annual Short-Term Incentive:
