What You’ll Do

We’re seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and coordination of HVAC and plumbing systems for a wide range of commercial, institutional, and residential projects. This is a senior-level role ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys mentoring junior staff, and is passionate about delivering high-quality mechanical solutions.

• Lead mechanical system design (HVAC, plumbing) from concept through construction documents
• Coordinate with architects, structural, electrical, and civil teams to ensure fully integrated designs
• Oversee and mentor junior mechanical designers and EITs
• Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and code compliance reviews
• Conduct QA/QC on plans, specs, and reports
• Support field coordination, construction administration, and client meetings as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (PE preferred)
• Typically, 7+ years of experience in mechanical system design for buildings
• Strong background in HVAC and plumbing system design
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; familiarity with energy modeling and load calculation software is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Experience with multi-disciplinary teams and MEP coordination

What We Offer

We are targeting a base salary of $90,000 to $130,000, but it is determined by several factors including education, experience, and a history of working in the Denver metro area.
