Bridge Inspector EIT/Coordinator

United States – Colorado – Denver

• Participate in local and national bridge inspections, develop inspection reports, and perform structural load rating calculations.
• Work in a team environment and independently while acquiring knowledge and experience in engineering.
• Support the bridge design group and other disciplines by applying structural engineering and detailing techniques in the development of structural designs.
• Perform other duties as needed.

• MS in Civil/Structural Engineering preferred.
• EIT or ability to obtain promptly.
• Candidates without EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
• Minimum of 2 years’ bridge/structural inspection and design experience preferred.
• Completion of NHI 130055 Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges training preferred.
• Willingness to work with other disciplines during inspection downtime.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for multiple night stays during the week.
• Physical ability to perform field inspections of in-service bridge and culvert structures, tunnel structures, highway structures, overhead sign structures, hydraulic structures, and metal traffic signal poles, including required physical demands.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong communication skills.
• Exposure to environmental hazards such as warm/cold temperatures, water, work‑at‑height, poisonous plants, snakes, ticks, spiders, and other creatures.

• Local Colorado candidates preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree.
• MS Office, MathCAD and AutoCAD, LARSA and Prestress Concrete Design experience.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu and knowledge of engineering software packages such as LEAP Bridge Enterprise, FB‑Multi Pier, LPile, AASHTOWare BrR, midas Civil, CSiBridge, RM Bridge, sp Column, STLBridge
  
  LRFD, or STLBridge.
• Experience with Bently Open Bridge Modeler and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3D.
• Strong understanding and hands‑on use of computers for structural layout and design.
• Good communication skills and willingness to work in a team environment.

Colorado: $70,499 – $102,592.
