Wilson & Company’s Denver Office is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer with a strong background in Transportation/Roadway design to lead and direct high‑level roadway design projects primarily in Colorado, with opportunities across the company.
Roles & Responsibilities- Client interaction and coordination on a frequent basis.
- Coordinate plans and schedules of detailed phases of engineering work and design of major projects.
- Monitor time schedules, job costs and adjust to comply with each.
- Perform design calculations and check design work of staff and design engineers.
- Supervise assistants, designers, technicians, and CADD operators/drafters.
- Coordinate other disciplines and sub‑consultants to ensure timely completion.
- Prepare preliminary engineering reports, feasibility reports, and presentations to clients or stakeholders.
- Lead client engagement and develop strategies for winning work.
- Develop and execute winning proposals in coordination with marketing staff.
- Proficiency with Micro Station/InRoads/Open Roads or AutoCAD/Civil3D software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related curriculum.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in CO or ability to obtain within four months.
- 10+ years’ experience in the design of streets and highways.
- Proven ability to manage multiple team members and coordinate effectively with other engineers and technicians.
- Knowledge and experience with federal, state, and local regulations that pertain to the design of street and/or highway projects.
Annual salary range: $115,000—$150,000+, depending on experience.
