Sales Engineer
EVONA are partnered with one of the fastest-growing space communications companies in the industry, supporting the expansion of their commercial and defense sales team following a major recent funding round.
This company develops advanced communication systems used across satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and next-generation aerospace and defense platforms. They are now looking for a Sales Manager to help drive growth across commercial space, defense primes, and government customers.
This is a highly visible role working directly with leadership, engineering, and product teams to own complex technical sales campaigns from initial customer engagement through contract close.
What you’ll be doing- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities across aerospace, defense, and space markets
- Build relationships with defense primes, commercial aerospace companies, and government customers
- Own the full sales lifecycle from prospecting through proposal, negotiation, and contract award
- Work closely with engineering teams to position technical solutions for customer applications
- Translate complex RF and communications technologies into clear customer value propositions
- Support customers integrating advanced communications products into airborne and space platforms
- Help shape sales strategy as the company continues scaling globally
- 6+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, or technical B2B sales
- Proven track record closing contracts with defense primes or aerospace/space customers
- Experience selling complex technical products or systems
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced startup environment
- Engineering or scientific degree preferred
- Familiarity with ITAR/EAR environments is highly beneficial
- RF, SATCOM, communications systems, or aerospace electronics experience
- Prior engineering or technical background
- Experience working with space or defense customers
