We are seeking a skilled Electrical & Controls (E&C) Engineer to support the design, development, installation, and commissioning of electrical and control systems for industrial manufacturing operations. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to ensure reliable, safe, and efficient system performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain electrical and controls systems for manufacturing and process equipment
- Develop and modify PLC, HMI, and SCADA programs to meet operational and safety requirements
- Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and control system issues to minimize downtime
- Support capital projects, including system upgrades, automation improvements, and new equipment installations
- Create and maintain electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Participate in factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), and system commissioning
- Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and company procedures
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to improve system reliability and performance
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to automation, controls, and electrical systems
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field
- 3 7 years of experience in electrical and controls engineering within an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, and industrial control systems
- Working knowledge of electrical schematics, control panels, and industrial instrumentation
- Experience troubleshooting electrical and automation systems
- Familiarity with NFPA, NEC, and industrial safety standards
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in team settings
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with platforms such as Allen Bradley or Siemens PLCs
- Experience with VFDs, servo systems, and motion controls
- Exposure to SCADA systems and industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, etc.)
- Project engineering or project management experience
- Experience supporting FDA regulated or highly automated environments
