Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a talented mechanical design engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for generating 3D models from engineering notes and references, applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5 standards, and preparing customer-facing drawing packages. You will also ensure proper material and specification callouts, specifically focusing on aerospace hardware such as fasteners, brackets, and assemblies.

Responsibilities

Essential Skills

* Proficiency in NX.

* Experience with CAD drawings.

* Knowledge of aerospace industry or defense.

Work Environment

This position is set in a manufacturing environment. You will have the opportunity to gain aerospace experience in a dynamic startup atmosphere. You will be part of a team that has recently been awarded a contract from NASA to rescue the SWIFT telescope. Our team is tasked with supporting the build of a robotic servicing spacecraft designed to extend the life of the SWIFT telescope by adjusting its orbit.

This role offers a unique chance to contribute to a significant aerospace project.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Denver, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $70.00/hr.
